Sweet Java Cafe | Salem, MA

Sweet Java is a busy little cafe in Salem, MA. Because of its location off a major commuter route, these cafe owners wanted to create an eye-catching new interior atmosphere that stops people in their tracks. Mercurio was able to pull together a fresh and vibrant new color scheme - to be used not only in their interiors but also as part of their rebranding and merch efforts. Mercurio Design Studio helped curate a new palette, as well as proposed new branding strategies for future retail growth and product development. New easy-to-clean contract-grade furniture replaced the old industrial metal seating, as well as new paint, lighting and accessories. New glowy milk-glass light fixtures replaced existing window fixtures, creating warmth from the inside out. Fun punchy colors of tomato red, pink and burgundy help create immediate visual interest from street level. Creamy-warm whites adorn the walls and ceiling, accented by more poppy orange-reds, deep burgundy and raisin tones, and dark brown-blacks reminiscent of hot espresso. These efforts will no doubt deliver an attractive new cafe space in the Vinnin Square neighborhood of Salem.
